My name is Alex Applegate. I call my web stuff A Good Lamp as a guiding light for its intended purpose: to illuminate, even if only for me.

I live in Berkeley, CA, where I’m attending to a slew of hobbies and affirming a strong love for maintenance. I grew up in Wichita, and am a graduate of The University of Kansas, with degrees in French and marketing.

On a less personal note:

I am a writer, editor, and content strategist with nine years of experience telling brand stories, crafting campaigns, honing narratives, thinking of the big picture, and getting into the details. From naming to blog posts, Reels to press releases, and scriptwriting to impact reports, I love to make sure every word in the story reflects the best version of the brand telling it.
